Cloud System Engineer

Responsibilities:

Support (60%)

• Resolve incidents within SLA timeframe.
• Implement service requests and change requests and complete all requests within SLA timeframe.
• Perform root cause analysis, from finding to solving the problems.
• Escalate unsolvable incident / problem to the Operation Lead or Service Delivery Manager.
• Escalate to OEM / vendor / subcontractor for technical support.
• Serve as a point of contact (POC) for technical discussions and consultations with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.

Deployment (30%)

• Ensure deployments of approved patches / releases / configuration changes for operation system and system software are implemented to change request accordingly.
• Support the integration of new technologies into existing environments.

Administration & Backup (10%)

• Maintain the configuration of the cloud system & Microsoft Active Directory infrastructure.
• Ensure proper backup of the administrated systems and performing system recovery if needed.
• Conduct regular testing to verify configuration or backup data.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience in administration & support of a cloud system & Microsoft Active Directory.
• Dynamic, customer oriented, diligent attitude with ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
• Good analytical skills with ability to work with others to resolve problems.

• Familiarity with government regulations and compliance requirements, such as IM8, data security, and privacy regulations in Singapore.
• Good understanding of GCC architecture, standards, best practices, and security requirements.
• Exposure and expertise in GCC services, features, and capabilities, including virtualization, networking, storage, databases, security, and identity/access management.
• Proficiency in cloud automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, such as CloudFormation, Terraform, or ARM templates.
• Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes, and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and tools like Jenkins, Git, and Bitbucket.
• Understanding of network concepts, such as VPN, VPC, DNS, load balancing, and security groups, within GCC environment.
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools, such as Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, Splunk, ELK stack, or similar, for troubleshooting and performance analysis in GCC solutions.
