The service engineer will be reporting to the Project manager and Workshop Manager and will be working for the maintenance, installation, commissioning of the Life-Saving appliances installed on board our customer’s vessels and workshop.
This is a hands-on role requiring the service engineer to work on board vessels and within the company' workshop located in Tuas.
The candidate will join a young and dynamic team.
Duties and responsibilities:
Periodical inspections of Life-Saving Appliances (LSA), such as winches, davits, lifeboats, and release hooks.
- Prepare detailed technical service reports with the computer.
- Maintenance, overhaul and testing of hydraulic parts such as hydraulic cylinders, stored power oil accumulators at company workshop or on board vessels.
- Ensure company workshop is well kept, tools and equipment are clean and easily available to use.
- Create maintain installation data, service information, and repair log in the database.
The successful profile:
- Minimum previous technical experience in repairs, inspection, maintenance, and commissioning work in maritime industry.
- Experience working on LSA equipment (winch, hooks, and davits) is required.
- Ability to solve challenging problems in stressful and time constrained situations.
- Available to travel overseas on board our customer’s vessel.
