Wide Band Semiconductors group of IMRE is looking for a highly motivated Senior Scientist for a project related to SiC bulk growth. The project aims to develop SiC boules using both resistive and inductive heating technologies. The candidate will work together with the wide bandgap R & D team to perform materials growth and characterization.
Main Responsibilities:
- To grow SiC bulk crystals for the development of 4H-SiC substrates
- Develop thermal models and growth iterations to reduce defect density in bulk SiC
- Project execution with team work to meet target deliverables from various types of growth furnaces
- Provide technical inputs to metrology team for analysis of wafering results and preparation of reports
Job Requirements:
- PhD in Physics/Materials Science/Engineering, or related fields.
- Experience in bulk crystal growth, Epitaxy of SiC or other wide bandgap materials
- Prior hands-on experience on crystal growth processing equipment, data acquisition and analysis, good communication skills
