Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Finance and Membership Manager. The Finance and Membership Manager will play a key role in managing the financial operations of the Club while also overseeing membership initiatives and engagement strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Promote and sell memberships to prospective members which include corporates and individuals by:
- Conceptualising and implementing membership sales related events/initiatives, which include seeking budget approval, execution and post-event follow-up
- Developing and maintaining new partnerships and sourcing for sponsorships for Club’s events/initiatives
- Interact with members and guests to build rapport and garner feedback for improvement of future events/initiatives
2. Manage accounts, budgeting and financial reporting that include but not limited to:
- Ensuring timely, accurate month-end closing and financial reporting to Management
- Managing accounting processes and tasks in daily operations (eg. AP & AR process, GL, account and bank reconciliations, accounts receivable transactions, credit control, fixed asset activity, payroll, accounts payable transactions, debt activity, recording of revenue and expenses, etc.)
- Handling payroll of staff and interns including overtime & commission calculation into processing of employees' salary
- Coordinating and liaising with external parties including external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, local tax and government authorities
- Ensuring compliance with all finance filing requirements (eg. GST, CPF, Annual Returns), audits, procedures and forms
3. Manage assigned facilities and associated services to achieve customer satisfaction (eg. Relationship Manager duties)
4. Review processes and systems for enhancement which include analysis, controls, design and implementation
5. Any other duties as may be assigned
Requirements
- Degree in accountancy or equivalent
- At least 2 years of relevant working experience
- Proficient in MS Office and good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment independently
- Team player with strong interpersonal and networking skills
- Able to work on evenings, weekends and public holidays when required
