Role:
- Offering advice and resolutions for technical issues to ensure optimal ship performance, meeting service requirements cost-effectively.
- Planning, coordinating, and executing major repairs, dry-dockings, and retrofit upgrades for vessels.
- Accurately budgeting and managing ships within approved financial limits.
- Collaborating with the procurement and contracts department to ensure timely supply of spare parts and consumables to ships.
- Ensuring ships are managed in compliance with Flag state, Classification society, and Port State requirements.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as Chief Engineer on ocean-going vessels or Class 1 COC Master Mariner with prior service as Master.
- IT knowledge of Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with Planned Maintenance Systems and knowledge of technical, procurement, and logistics processes.
- Demonstrated growth and learning attitude.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
