Job Summary:
As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of the organization. Your responsibilities will include assisting with day-to-day accounting tasks, maintaining accurate financial records, and collaborating with the finance team to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the finance department.
Responsibilities:
Financial Record Keeping:
- Assist in the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Record daily financial transactions and ensure they are properly classified.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial documents.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Process invoices, expense claims, and payments in a timely manner.
- Assist in the preparation of invoices for customers and clients.
- Follow up on overdue payments and address payment discrepancies.
Data Entry and Documentation:
- Enter financial data into accounting software or spreadsheets.
- Maintain organized and well-documented records of financial transactions.
- File and archive financial documents appropriately.
Assist in Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Collaborate with the finance team in preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor budgetary performance and report any variances.
Financial Reporting:
- Generate and prepare financial reports for review by senior staff.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Audit Support:
- Assist in the preparation of documents and schedules for internal and external audits.
- Collaborate with auditors to provide necessary information and explanations.
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations.
Communication:
Communicate with vendors, clients, and internal departments to address financial queries.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow within the finance department.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in accounting or finance roles is advantageous.
- Familiarity with accounting software and MS Office suite.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and standards.

Benefits and Salary:
Salary: $2,000 - $2,300 per month, commensurate with skills and experience.
