Workplace safety and Health officer # Tampines

Job Describition :

  • Must have experience in unhook of production machine, utility or construction environment.
  • Must be able to manage various group of contractor, locally or overseas.
  • Be it meeting with contractor on schedule, work activities, safety aspect
  • Co-work with our Post-Equipment Team members
  • Manage the Permit to Work, Risk assessment & Safe work procedure review on site
  • Conduct inspection with our Post-Equipment Team members and contractor
  • Regular to provide safety report to Post-Equipment Team Management

1) Identify, assess, control and manage Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) risks.

2) Develop, implement, maintain and improve WSH management systems and culture including corporate requirements.

3) Manage various group of contractors whether locally or oversea contractors which involve in machine dismantling, unhook work and move-out of machines or parts.

4) Conduct regular safety meeting with contractors to review the schedule and work activities to facilitate the approval of Permit to Work.

5) Arrange, prepare and conduct ESH committee meeting on monthly basis and perform as ESH committee secretary to provide meeting minutes.

6) Manage the Permit to Work, Risk assessment & Safe work procedure including other supporting documents to be review on site.

7) Co-work with Post-Equipment Team members.

8) Regular conducting toolbox meeting with contractors and Post-Equipment Team member together.

9) Conduct safety inspection with Post-Equipment Team members and contractors.

10) Perform and update any ESH abnormality reporting in time and verify for the implementation of corrective and preventive action.

11) Regular to provide WSH report to Post-Equipment Team Management.

12) Attend to MOM enquiry whether by email or on-site visit.

13) Maintain the workplace records, certificates, notices and documents kept or required to be kept under the Act including any other relevant document.

14) Assess the levels of noise, illumination, harmful or hazardous substances in the workplace and the exposure levels of persons at work.

15) Conduct investigates any accident/ incident (gas and chemical leak, spills, fire, etc), dangerous occurrence or occupational disease that occurred within the workplace.

16) Assist in Emergency Response training and activities including evacuation drill and CERT audit.

17) Assist in evacuation, first aid & rescue and mitigation operations, decontamination of personnel and equipment.

18) Assist in any other related duties assigned by Post-Equipment Management as and when necessary.


Job Requirements:

At least 5 years of relevant experience in construction industry preferably 3 years with developer/main contractor

· Must be a registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer with MOM and have been practicing as WSHO for at least 5 years

· Has developed a Risk Management Implementation Plan (bizSAFE Level 2) or equivalent

· Good communication skills and team player
