This IT System Engineer role reports to the IT Team Lead to maintain, implement projects, and enhance the IT Infrastructure not limited but included on server, network, security and so on. Provide 2nd and 3rd level IT support for the company's users, good IT career advancement and IT infrastructure environment for technical hands-on opportunity.
The successful candidate will require the following essential qualifications, experience, and attributes:
Key Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3 to 5 years of IT network administration related experience, with prior experience in managing IT vendors (overseas and local) for technical issues resolution.
- Administration and management of servers, storage, networking and appliances, virtualization, mobility, and remote access services.
- Hands on experience in networking, routing, switching, and understand TCP/IP concept well.
- Excellent knowledge of best practices around asset management, control, and monitoring of server and network infrastructure.
- Any professional MCSA, CCNA or ITIL certified will be an added advantage.
- Hands-on knowledge with FortiGate/Fortinet firewall products will be an added advantage.
- Experience in M365, Exchange Online, and SharePoint management is an added advantage.
- Experience in Microsoft Azure Cloud is an added advantage.
- Experience in security patch/fix management and Synology NAS management
- Experience in deployment and installation of Windows Server 2008 R2/2012 R2/2019

- Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, Hyper-V, Backup Solution, NAS
- Good knowledge of network infrastructure that includes Cisco/Dell command line, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN remote access, WAN, LAN, VLAN, WiFi, VPN, Firewall, router, switches etc.
- Good knowledge of system level monitoring, performance tuning and backup solutions
- Positive attitude, willing to learn, work as a team and independently as required.
The Role:
Responsibilities
- Manage infrastructure services provided by vendor/s to ensure connectivity, availability of applications and services within the company both locally and regionally.
- Day-to-day support to the Group’s IT infrastructure (local and regional), including servers, desktops, IP phones, email, software updates, printers, backup systems and networking and WIFI equipment, on-boarding, off-boarding and training.
- Provide technical support for PC hardware, software, applications, and IT requests and tickets and close them timely.
- Responsible for the configuration, installation, and support of equipment.
- To participate, assist and support in new project implementations.
- Configuring firewalls, routing, and switching to maximize network efficiency and security.
- Configure, deploy, and maintain Fortinet, Dell, HPE managed Layer 2 Layer 3 switches.
- Manage Hybrid Windows Server Domain Controller, Windows server, VM Infrastructure, Office365, Firewall configurations, Endpoint protection.
- Periodically monitor servers, network devices and backups.
- Perform AD user/computer management and system administration on servers.
- Administer M365, MS Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Azure AD, and TrendMicro.
- Plan and manage patch management process and follow up on the status and windows vulnerabilities identified.
- To assist and report to IT Team Lead in any other IT-related activities or projects as assigned from time to time.
