Your new role
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organisation's IT infrastructure.
- Lead initiatives for scalability, reliability, and performance improvements of systems and networks.
- Manage the full life cycle of applications, from design and development to deployment and maintenance.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Ensure the integration and compatibility of applications with existing systems
- Develop and implement a comprehensive cyber security strategy to protect the organisation's information assets.
- Conduct regular security assessments, risk analyses, and vulnerability assessments.
- Oversee the management of firewalls, anti-virus programs, and other security measures.
- Lead incident response and recovery efforts in the event of a cyber security incident.
- Provide strong leadership to the IT team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Set clear objectives and performance expectations for team members.
- Develop and manage the IT department's budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and optimal resource allocation.
- Evaluate and recommend investments in technology that align with organisational goals.
What you need to succeed
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience of 15+ years in a senior IT leadership role
- Strong background in infrastructure management, ERP and application development, and cyber security.
- Prior leadership experience managing a small team, with good stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong business acumen to develop and implement strategic solutions aligned with business goals.
