The Role:

This role provides leadership and management to the local Professional Services (PS) function for Southeast Asia, based in Singapore. The professional Services function includes pre-sales and delivery consultants as well as project manager.

Our Professional Services team are critical for the ongoing success of SHL. Our team of consultants are often the face of our products and services to clients. They innovate, they inspire, they deliver, and they embed our solutions to ensure ongoing client satisfaction. Key Accountabilities:

Strategy & Direction

  • Working alongside the Head of Southeast Asia, establish the strategic direction and business strategy for the department, including the identification of new consulting services opportunities.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings, projects, and initiatives related to setting strategy and objectives, developing new products and services, improving processes, and coordinating cross- functional activities and communication to drive continuous improvement of Local PS (and Global PS) as well as PS solutions
  • Identify gaps in the market and opportunities to strengthen our proposition areas; identifying opportunities to innovate; share best practice; bringing in external expertise and examples; facilitating work to continuously enhance our delivery and solutions to ensure we maintain market position; using global network and external network to drive this.
  • Work closely with the sales and commercial functions to ensure alignment and seamless client engagement

Management – Commercial and Delivery Ops

  • Provide day-to-day management of the pre-sales and delivery consultants and project manager
  • Optimising PS revenue through instilling strong project discipline and cadence
  • Ensuring tight control of costs, e.g. associate spend and external suppliers
  • Working with the Asia Operations Manager to ensure accurate forecasting of PSrevenue
  • Managing the SEA Resouring function to ensure projects are resourced effectively
  • Planning and delivering against a team target for PS revenue – ensuring projects move quickly from sale into delivery, optimising levels of utilisation and resolving any issues and roadblocks in a timely manner
  • Ultimately responsible for ensuring consistently high levels of quality and client satisfaction are achieved across all types of consulting delivery

People & Culture

  • Inspire and ensure the ongoing professional development of the broader Professional Services team
  • Managing senior individual contributors within the team and building a culture of high performance
  • Proactively building the SHL and Professional Services brand in the broader market to enable attraction of top talent and positive brand awareness

Expertise & Profile

  • Client Advocacy - Taking on executive sponsor roles on critical projects; delivering at a senior level; picking up significant presales opportunities and attending pitches; presenting at events in the market;
  • Serve as an expert resource to the market, prospects, existing clients and internal stakeholders across the subject matter related to job analysis, custom assessment design, selection system design and validation, and related Organisational Psychology consulting services.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the field (including empirical research, industry trends, and competitors), as well as contributing to the development of the field through publications and presentations at both professional conferences and marketing events.
  • Contributing to the design of content for SHL events; getting involved in PR and brand promotion activities

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Occupational Psychology qualifications (Masters preferred)
  • Experience working with Data Analytics and Insights
  • Confident and influential communicator in both internal and external environments
  • Strong commercial acumen with an eye for opportunities to drive business growth
  • Keen to build their profile within the broader industry through representing SHL at events and conferences
  • Proven strength in coaching and developing teams
  • Able to formulate strategy to deliver business results
