About Our Client
Our client is a European MNC that specializes in manufacturing and distributing electronic components which is well-used within the manufacturing industry. The organization as a global presence and has regional headquarters in Europe, the US and in Asia. They are currently looking for a Finance Manager to lead their finance and accounting operations here in Singapore.
Job Description
- Oversee routine accounting and reporting tasks, including month and year-end reporting, monthly financial and cash-flow forecasting, and annual budgeting.
- Handle tax reporting and filing responsibilities.
- Manage risk, including insurance collaboration with HQ, and handle claims in communication with the insurance company.
- Ensure adequate financing for operational and investment needs, collaborating with both HQ and local finance institutions.
- Execute monthly and annual financial closing procedures (P&L, B/S, Cash-flow), coordinating with local authorities and external auditors.
- Enhance Finance processes related to transactions (AP/AR) to boost productivity and control.
- Take ownership of and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Finance department.
- Lead and develop the Finance Team, setting team and individual goals, implementing employee development plans, and providing coaching.
- Serve as a Finance Business Partner to the Managing Director.
The Successful Applicant
- Possess a minimum of 8 years of working experience with a focus on accounting, tax, and controlling.
- Have experience in tax, customs, and Transfer Pricing issues related to cross-border transactions.
- Demonstrate good knowledge of manufacturing and supply chain processes and their financial implications.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, with specific knowledge of Navision and SAP being advantageous.
- Understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Strong analytical skills.
