Job Description
- Conduct thorough fundamental analysis of public companies across various sectors, including financial statements analysis, industry research, and competitive positioning assessments.
- Develop and maintain financial models to forecast company performance and valuation metrics.
- Monitor market trends, news, and events to identify investment opportunities and risks.
- Generate investment recommendations based on rigorous analysis and present findings to the investment committee.
- Collaborate with portfolio manager and other team members to optimise portfolio performance and asset allocation strategies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market developments, regulatory changes, and industry trends.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field; CFA designation or progress towards CFA is preferred.
- At least 5-8 years of experience in equity research, investment analysis, or related roles within the financial services industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw actionable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present investment ideas and recommendations.
- Proficiency in financial modelling and valuation techniques.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and precision in work.
