Responsibilities
- Work closely with project management team as sourcing representative for new projects, interpret drawings, source, buy and manage parts (deliveries, non-conformance) for new project.
- Be the main contact between supplier and NTS Engineering/ project team on technical queries that may arise during request for quotation stage. compiles technical queries and lead discussions to address them.
- Ensure the price and lead time targets of the new projects are being met.
- Ensure the On Time Delivery of materials for new project based on build plan
- Involved in the ECO routing approval to ensures changes are implemented on time by supporting the information's like price and Leadtime during ECO digestion.
Skills
- Able to interpret mechanical drawings
- Familiar with precision machining parts and secondary process
- Good knowledge in change management for a manufacturing setup.
- Able to create sourcing strategy for new projects.
- Familiar with Southeast Asia Supplier
- Supplier management, projects and material management skills
- Reporting, good interpersonal, communication, cross function management skills
Experience
- At least 5 years' experience in sourcing OR NPI project management in manufacturing set-up
- Experience in managing new projects
- Exposure on managing overseas suppliers (US & Europe)
- Experience in creating sourcing strategy, material project management for NPI
- Able to negotiate price, lead time and payment terms with suppliers, able to understand Engineering Change Orders.
