Job Description: Receptionist cum Admin Support

Position Overview:New Town Primary School is seeking a qualified and dedicated individual to fill the role of a Receptionist cum Admin Support. The selected candidate will be responsible for handling front desk counter functions and providing administrative support to facilitate the teaching and learning functions of the school.
Contract Details:
- Contract Period: From March 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024.
Working Hours:
- Mondays to Fridays (except Wednesdays): 7:30 am to 5:00 pm (inclusive of 1-hour lunch break)
- Wednesdays: 7:30 am to 4:30 pm (inclusive of 1-hour lunch break)
- Off Days: Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays
Scope of Services:The selected Personnel will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Handle counter services and assist walk-in customers.
- Attend to all incoming phone calls, inquiries, and deliveries.
- Administer first aid to pupils when necessary and contact parents of unwell students.
- Route postal mails and courier deliveries.
- Collate and compile consent forms, survey forms, and data.
- Perform administrative tasks using basic Microsoft Office, including data entry, document preparation, and creating presentation materials.
- Assist in printing and lamination of materials such as teaching aids.
- Support major school events.
- Any other work as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:The ideal candidate should possess:
- Effective team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under tight schedules.
- Independence, resourcefulness, and a high level of commitment.
- Preferably 3 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in IT applications, especially Microsoft Excel.
- Standard First Aid trained.
- Minimum qualifications: Higher Nitec or Nitec, GCE 'O' or 'N' Level certificate, or the equivalent.
