Job Description
- Understanding and implementing the company's HSE policies, project-specific HSE requirements, and procedures.
- Inspecting work areas and practices to identify and correct unsafe conditions and practices.
- Reporting and intervening when observing unsafe working conditions or practices.
- Promptly reporting any reportable incidents to the Project HSSE Manager and related stakeholders.
- Monitoring and improving the condition of subcontractor machinery and equipment.
- Enhancing safety awareness through safety training, drills, and courses.
- Leading incident investigations, root cause analysis, and recommending solutions.
- Ensuring closure of outstanding findings and non-conformance issues.
- Focusing on continuous improvement and innovation.
- Achieving and reporting project Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Promoting safety and health awareness among employees and project personnel.
- Establishing and maintaining emergency response plans.
- Compiling safety and health records and reports for the company sites.
- Organizing HSE campaigns and audit programs.
- Conducting surveillance audits.
- Assessing the relevance of technologies for HSE.
- Handling ad-hoc tasks as assigned by Management.
Job Requirements
- Minimum diploma or higher qualification.
- Workplace Health and Safety Officer (WHSO) certification through the Ministry of Manpower or equivalent.
- Knowledge of ISO 45001, with preference for internal auditor certification.
- Experience in shipyard operations, particularly with major oil and gas clients.
- Strong competencies in results orientation, adaptability, effective intelligence, leadership, and teamwork.
