Tasks & Responsibilities
- Preparing lighting design drawings and plans in consultation with the project team.
- Creating detailed calculations to ensure the lighting design meets all requirements and specifications.
- Creating renderings of lighting designs using computer software programs such as AutoCAD.
- Creating lighting plots that must include the locations, colors and dimmers for all lights that are to be included in the production, along with lighting cues.
- Lighting simulations using Dialux Evo.
- Co-ordinate and follow up on projects to ensure they are completed on time.
- Prepare presentation materials, tender drawings, mock-ups, site co-ordination, meetings.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current technologies in the industry.
- Independent and responsible.
Qualifications & Experience
- Knowledge of all areas of interior design and the ability to work on projects of any size and/or complexity.
- A minimum of 2 years experience.
- Proficient in using AutoCAD, DiaLux Evo, Photoshop.
- Ability to interpret and translate design ideas into lighting concepts.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Must be proficient in MS Office products such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
