Kinder Head of Brand Development, FAP

About the Role:

The role is aimed to develop strategies and support their execution to optimize long-term brand performance of Kinder Eggs/Seasonal portfolio, considering group guidelines and local insights. The role drive conceptualization and execution of impactful communication campaigns and is focused on maximizing value as a facilitator between Group / Area and local teams.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategies in accordance with group guidelines and local insights to drive long-term brand performance. Implement Ferrero marketing strategies, define initiatives and business development actions
  • Make recommendations on competitive positions and strategy for the product lines (specifying benefits, target consumer groups, pricing, etc.) and toy wave management
  • Define and ensure that the marketing strategies (product positioning, benefits, pricing, targets group) are coordinated and harmonized with the strategies defined by the sales team (markets, customers, distribution channels) in compliance with the Central Category and Group guidelines
  • Identify and plan appropriate activities to drive marketing mix elements, specifically communication and portfolio, to the goals achievement, monitor related economic and business results in line with relevant guidelines
  • Monitor implementation of marketing activities and local campaigns, cooperate with other departments to ensure implementation of agreed action plans
  • Identify market opportunities for new products/formats/initiatives, and work on the assessment and commercialization
  • Determine go-to-market plan including pricing, portfolio (both permanent and in-and-out SKUs) and communication, monitoring business results
  • Initiate specific consumer research studies outside of the standard studies (GAT, Retail Audit, etc) as needed to support brand strategy creation and communication/portfolio development
  • Leverage on marketing research and connect different sources of information, to understand customer behavior and needs and assure that results are effectively used
  • Define the communication strategy and lead the development and implementation of all key communication assets, leveraging local expertise fully
  • Establish and conduct relations with creative, digital, media, promotion companies and other suppliers
  • Monitor implementation of Activity Grid, ensure that the execution of POSMs is in accordance with brand strategy and guidelines
  • Propose and share new projects intended to result in new formats and new packaging designs
  • Follow launch of new products on the market
  • Manage budget and hold responsibility for the economic results achieved by the product lines, monitoring compliance with the budgeted figures and ongoing economic performance, and taking any necessary corrective action


Who we are looking for:

  • University degree in Marketing and related fields
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in FMCG Marketing and brand management, with the strong knowledge of marketing tools, frameworks and concepts
  • Understanding of Asian markets in terms of consumers and FMCG dynamics
  • Strong marketing fundamentals and project management skillset, understanding of traditional and digital media, digital platforms/channels
  • Solid analytical ability and cognitive thought, experience in interpreting and analyzing research results and measures
  • Strong commercial mindset related to product/promotional activity and business acumen
  • Ability to effectively collaborate across functions and with multiple stakeholders, good team working skills and strong ability to influence vertically and horizontally
  • Agility and capability of adapting / multi-tasking in a fast paced and continuously changing environment
  • High sense of responsibility and proactivity, anticipation of issues and proposal of solutions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, advanced time management and organizational skills
  • Advanced MS office (Excel, PowerPoint) skills, SAP
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken
