Primary Objective(s) of Position
- Responsible for managing customer service operations, handling requests for quotation (RFQ), and overseeing regional container management in alignment with specified requirements
Duties & Responsibilities
Customer Services, RFQ, Tender, Trade, Sales Support;
- Attend to all customers enquiries, disputes cases via email or phone call, and respond timely to their queries.
- Prepare, maintain and review proposals, procedures, tenders, and service agreements with customers
- Filing & liaison with shipping line, freight forwarders & vendors for quotation and services
- Source and negotiate for competitive price-structures
- Conduct customer visits and business development when required
- MRG approval on S.E.A shipments routing to all Network agency
- Conduct Analyses of trade-lanes & prices
Inventory Management
- Track, update and analyze equipment turnaround/idle/repair time/idle time/repair time and implement measures for improvement
- Prepare daily container inventory report
- Liaise with various parties on purchasing, disposing, and leasing of containers
- Assess container repair charges, collection, detention and demurrage
- Oversee container seal and DG sticker management
Sea Shipment coordination & documentation support (assisting operation if required)
- Liaising with Customers, Vendors & Overseas partners
- Preparation of full set shipping documentation for FCL/LCL Sea freight shipments & local handling services.
- Execution of documents using the Company’s SAP System
- Ensure accurate & timely execution of documentation, custom manifest and invoicing to related parties within stipulated KPIs
- Maintain proper e-filing system of all documents for easy and systematic retrieval
Full set payment requisition;
- Ensure accurate & timely execution of invoicing to related parties within KPI,
- Keeping track of all payment’s invoices, reconciling processed work by verifying entries and arrange for payment requisition accurately & timely within credit period.
Transportation arrangement;
- Monitoring delivery & collection to meet the schedule for all services provided
- Keeping track of all quotation/tariff for payment’s invoices, reconciling processed work by verifying entries accurately & timely
- Coordination with all vendor & warehouse operations for loading/unloading related arrangements if required
- Any ad hoc tasks as assigned from management
Person Specifications
- Possess a Diploma in logistics and supply chain management, or at least 3 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge in container maintenance & repair
- Familiarity with SAP's Transport Module
- Experience in dealing with NVOCC Sea Freight Process Flow
