Job Summary:
The Parts Sales & Marketing Manager is the commercial interface between dealers and customers in his area and regional/ sub-regional market management. The incumbent will be responsible for Volvo Uptime & Parts turnover for the responsible markets. The incumbent will need to implement service and parts concepts, when needed with agreed local adaptation at the dealerships. The incumbent will be responsible to scan the markets in search for new ideas to increase profit, as well as be the brand ambassador for Volvo CE. The incumbent will have close interaction with other sub-regional customer support functions, sub-regional management, and market equipment sales etc. The role reports to Head of Uptime & Parts Market SEA, based in Singapore.
Main Tasks/ Responsibilities / Authorities:
- Create business plan proposal and develop action plans, sales activities to achieve profitable growth
- Roll out parts and service concepts and promotions at the dealerships, when needed with local adaptations (marketing plan)
- Commercial development of dealers through coaching and training
- Facilitate audit process of dealer operating standards and follow up action with dealer
- Represent Aftermarket logistics at the dealerships and provide feedback to Aftermarket logistics in the market
- Price and profitability management in his area
- Scan the markets to identify areas of growth, customer segments or product ideas and provide feedback to regional marketing
- Participate in dealers’ network, including organization and competence development
- Perform regular customer visits to understand market requirements, pursue opportunities, gather feedback on competitor activities and perform competitive analysis
- Responsible for operational parts sales result (turnover and gross margin)
Education/Professional Qualifications required for the position:
- Preferred Degree in Mechanical or Electrical field
- Minimum five (5) years of supervisory experience related to sales operations, preferable from the Construction Equipment or Automotive industry
- Strong customer orientation and has the ability to effectively interface with customers
- Proven leadership and have strong organizational skill
- Ability to persuade and influence is essential
- Ability to make effective decisions based on clear understanding of the business and customer requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and a local language
- Has an analytical approach to problem solving with strong attention to detail
- Excellent computer skills such as Microsoft Office
