We are looking for a Manager to drive the next phase for our Innovation team, through the Open Innovation Platform (OIP). Our mission is to inspire and support corporates to innovate digitally. The OIP is the national digital platform matching corporates to innovative solution providers. This is a business development and pre-sales role which is focused on corporate engagement through multiple modalities e.g. inbound and outbound leads generation and qualification, curated programming, triaging their innovation needs and funnelling them to the OIP programme to support their corporate innovation journey.

Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development. Generate, qualify and cultivate corporate leads, and convert corporates looking to drive business innovation within their organisations. This includes sourcing leads through working with partners to curate exclusive events or programmes targeted at innovators and decision makers.
- Business Engagement. Qualify inbound leads including referrals by acting as initial point of triage for corporates with interest in OIP to diagnose their basic innovation needs. Regular engagement with warm leads, keeping abreast of industry trends and customer drivers as opportunities for follow-ups to enable conversion.
- Stakeholder Management and Matching. Scout, own and deepen relationships with new corporates and multipliers (e.g. government agencies, trade associations) to build the corporate database. Support direct matches with our technology solvers base, based on corporates’ business use cases, as a lever to deepen the corporate relationship.
- Partnership Development: Identify, source and engage existing or new strategic partners through lead follow-up to achieve Innovation team’s objectives (e.g. securing more corporate leads for OIP and/or developing partner-led tech showcases to inspire corporates)
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Business/Information Technology/Engineering or relevant/related disciplines
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in an industry engagement, B2B business development or consultancy role, with immediate and large business networks
- Adept at engaging external stakeholders across seniority levels, and building business networks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; with strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills
- Highly adaptable and can work well across internal units and cross-cutting issues and processes
- Results-oriented to follow through with programmes and assignments in a timely manner
- Experience in corporate innovation or digital transformation, cultivating and sustaining business partnerships, and running curated and targeted programmes for corporates
- Good understanding and appreciation of new technology trends, and how it can drive new areas of growth and business use cases across industries in the digital space
- Strong bias for action and ownership to roll up your sleeves to do
- Relentless in cutting through blockers and getting things done
