We are seeking a highly capable management accountant to optimise our financial management policies. You will be performing financial analysis, preparing financial forecasts, and advising senior management on strategic planning.
To ensure success as a management accountant, you should exhibit extensive knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting, and have experience in a similar sector environment. An outstanding management accountant will be someone whose financial accounting and business management expertise translates into sustained business growth.
Responsibilities:
- Gathering and interpreting data (both financial & non-financial) to transform them into insightful information to support corporate initiatives set by Board & Senior Management .
- Analysing key financial data and advising senior management on strategic planning. Support Finance Director to drive and facilitate full suite of budgetary planning, execution and monitoring cycle.
- Developing and implementing cost-effective financial policies and procedures, as well as mitigating financial risks.
- Preparing management reports and budgets, as well as controlling and forecasting income and expenditure.
- Overseeing management reporting (including budgetary and forecasting lifecycle) and supervising junior financial department staff.
- Keen in exploring process automation and embrace digitalisation initiatives to evaluate and augment productivity and efficacy.
- Monitoring auditing and taxation practices, as well as evaluating benefits and compensation packages.
- Ensuring that financial management policies and procedures adhere to regulatory standards where necessary.
- Performing financial recordkeeping, as well as protecting sensitive and confidential information where necessary.
- Keeping informed of regulatory requirements and best practices in management accounting & reporting.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in accounting, finance, or similar.
- Candidates who are currently enrolled in CPA Australia will be considered as well.
- Certified management accountant (CMA) preferred.
- A minimum of three years' experience as a management accountant in a related business and/or conversant in managing budgetary and forecasting exercise in a Group / Conglomerate / Organization with multiple Business Units (BUs).
- Comfortable and proficient with Segmental & BUs analysis, as well as complicated subsidies and rates variance analysis.
- Able to lead in a small team setting with tight deadlines.
- Proficient in business management and accounting software. Basic dashboard design and formulation skills / experiences are preferred though not mandatory.
- Extensive knowledge of accounting standards and financial regulations, preferably familiar with Charities Accounting Standard and Code of Corporate Governance though not mandatory.
- Strong mathematical and analytical aptitude.
- Exceptional attention to detail, meticulous in preparing financial / management report and excellent report / commentary writing skill is a must.
- Superb leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent collaboration and communication abilities.
