Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and creative Pastry Cook to join our client. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and creating delicious pastries, desserts, and confectionery items. The Pastry Cook will be responsible for managing inventory, developing recipes, ensuring high-quality plating, and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, and confectionery items according to recipes and standards
Contribute to the development of new recipes and techniques to enhance the menu offerings
Ensure proper inventory management and ordering of ingredients and supplies
Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all food safety and sanitation guidelines
Collaborate with the team to create visually appealing and delicious dessert / pastry presentations
Provide exceptional customer service by assisting with inquiries, taking orders, and ensuring customer satisfaction as and when required
Ensure consistent quality and adherence to standards
Stay updated with industry trends and new pastry techniques to continually improve skills and offerings
Requirements:
Minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a Pastry Cook or similar role
Strong knowledge in baking, pastry, desserts, plating, and confectionery
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong attention to detail and creativity in developing new recipes and presentations
Exceptional customer service skills and ability to work well in a team
