Job Duties:
- Oversee day-to-day warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, and order fulfilment
- Implement and maintain efficient inventory control systems to minimize stock discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and implement best practices for a hazard-free work environment
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate product movements and meet production demands
- Plan and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, optimizing transportation routes and ensuring timely deliveries
- Work closely with shipping carriers, customs, and freight forwarders to facilitate international shipments
- Monitor and track shipments, addressing any delays or issues promptly to maintain a smooth logistics flow
- Implement cost-effective logistics solutions without compromising on quality and service
- Lead and motivate a team of warehouse and logistics professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide training, and identify opportunities for skill development
- Ensure adequate staffing levels and manage scheduling to meet operational requirements
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to implement and uphold product quality standards throughout the supply chain
- Conduct regular checks on warehouse conditions, ensuring proper storage conditions for seafood products
- Implement measures to minimize product damage and losses during handling and transportation
You need to have/be:
- Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Proven experience in warehouse and logistics management, preferably in the seafood or food processing industry
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, distribution, and logistics principles
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to seafood handling and transportation
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Proficient in using warehouse management systems and logistics software
