Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deploy data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, cabling, and rack layouts.
- Install, configure, and maintain network devices and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data center infrastructure, including networking, power distribution, HVAC systems, and physical security.
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance activities to ensure the reliability and availability of data centers.
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers to evaluate and select appropriate equipment and solutions for data center needs.
- Manage network capacity and bandwidth planning to meet current and future requirements.
- Implement and enforce security measures to protect data center assets and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Participate in incident response activities and assist in resolving data center-related issues promptly.
- Document network and data center configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to data center engineering.
Requirements:
- Diploma, Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Network Engineer, Data Center Engineer, or related role.
- In-depth knowledge of data center infrastructure, including power distribution, cooling systems, and network architecture.
- Hands-on experience with network devices (routers, switches, firewalls) and protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, BGP, etc.).
- Familiarity with data center management tools and monitoring systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Data Center Networking Infrastructure Specialist (DCNI) are a plus.
- Knowledge of cloud computing, virtualization technologies, and software-defined networking is desirable.
