The Contracts Executive is responsible for overseeing the contract lifecycle management process within the organization. This role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements. The Contracts Executive works closely with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Finance, Sales, and Operations, to facilitate the successful execution of contracts and maintain positive business relationships with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Contract Management:
- Develop and implement contract management processes and procedures.
- Review and analyze contracts received from clients, vendors, and partners.
- Collaborate with Legal team to identify key terms and conditions for negotiation.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts in accordance with company policies.
- Ensure contracts are executed in a timely manner and maintain accurate records.
Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
- Identify potential risks associated with contract terms and conditions.
- Collaborate with Legal and Risk Management teams to assess and mitigate risks.
- Recommend appropriate modifications or enhancements to contracts to minimize risk exposure.
- Keep abreast of applicable laws and regulations to ensure contract compliance.
Relationship Management:
- Work closely with Sales and Operations teams to understand client requirements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align contract terms with business objectives.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between parties involved in the contract process.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, vendors, and partners.
Contract Administration:
- Monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with terms and conditions.
- Track contract milestones, deliverables, and obligations.
- Manage contract amendments, extensions, and terminations.
- Coordinate with Finance team to ensure accurate billing, invoicing, and payment processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, or related field.
- Proven experience in contract management or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of contract law, legal terms, and contractual obligations.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze complex contractual issues and propose strategic solutions.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficient in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
