As an Internal Auditor, you will play a pivotal role in evaluating and enhancing the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes. You will collaborate closely with different teams to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, identify areas for improvement, and provide recommendations to optimize our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive internal audits across various entities within Group, using a risk-based audit methodology to address business, financial and operational risks.
- Develop audit plans, perform risk assessments, and execute audit procedures in accordance with established standards.
- Assess and validate the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance procedures.
- Analyze financial data, operational processes, and systems to identify potential areas of risk or inefficiency.
- Prepare detailed audit reports outlining findings, recommendations, and action plans for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and monitor corrective actions.
- Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and best practices to ensure compliance and suggest process enhancements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CIA, CPA, CISA) are advantageous.
- Proven experience of at least 8 years in internal auditing, preferably within the financial services or fintech industry.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and standards pertinent to the financial sector.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and processes.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and articulate audit findings and recommendations.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
- Able to communicate proficiently with English & Mandarin in order to liaise with both English & Mandarin-speaking counterparts.
