Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.
Responsibilities
- Work with application teams to ensure that applications are designed to perform optimally on CICS and MQ
- Perform system tuning to ensure CICS and MQ is running optimally
- Provide technical troubleshooting and support for CICS and MQ including engagement of IBM and vendors for problem resolution and determination
- Provide process automation support and maintain SOP documentation
- Support backup/recovery and disaster/recovery planning and testing
- Support periodic system configuration reviews and audit reviews
- Monitor CICS and MQ system performance and troubleshoot issues
Requirements
- At least 10-15 years of experience working with CICS and MQ in a z/OS environment including experience with REXX, COBOL, JCL, TSO/ISPF
- Install, configure, and upgrade CICS and MQ software
- Familiarity and support of 3rd party software e.g. Omegamon, CICS PA, Fault Analyzer, APA etc.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
