About the Department UOB Group Wholesale Banking & Markets Marketing (GWMM) is the central marketing function for Group Wholesale Banking (GWB) and Global Markets (GM). We work with all business functions within GWB and GM to develop marketing strategies and plans. We collaborate and lead across the business functions in GWB and GM, bringing marketing and customer insights to cross-functional stakeholders across relationship managers, product, customers and executive leadership. Headquartered in Singapore, we offer marketing expertise to develop go-to-market plans to drive and support business goals and initiatives, as well as manage all internal and external marketing communications. Job Responsibilities Reporting to the Sector Head of Energy & Chemicals (E&C), your responsibilities include the implementation and execution of sector-specific strategies, initiatives, and solutions. The role will have a strong emphasis on originating supply chain financing, value-chain financing and ecosystem-based financing opportunities for UOB. You will be required to work with multiple stakeholders including Coverage Segments (Corporate Banking, Commercial Banking, Structured Trade and Commodities Finance (STCF) and Financial Institution Group), Product Partners (Transaction Banking, Global Markets and Investment Banking) and Credit Partners across UOB focused markets for growing and delivering financial and non-financial targets. • Key responsibility is to grow the E&C Sectors' deal pipeline, revenue and asset portfolio in supply chain financing, value-chain financing and ecosystem-based financing, including supplier finance, distributor financing, early payment discounting and account receivable purchase etc • Drive growth of the E&C sector's cross-sell and non-loan income • Structuring Sustainable Financing solutions (Green, Sustainable or Transition finance) for clients in the E&C sector • Responsible for driving pitches and to originate sector-led solutions / transactions with key strategic clients in the E&C sector • Leverage on industry insights and data analytics to define key industry developments and understand critical customer painpoints to design new products and solutions for clients in the E&C sub-sector. • Lead and organized events such as industry networking events, workshops or seminars to generate raise UOB's profile in the E&C sub-sector. Job Requirements • Minimum Bachelor's degree in technical subjects - Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering or any other concentration relevant to the E&C sector. • At least 10-15 years' banking experience covering the E&C sector in a Supply Chain Finance or Trade Finance Sales, or in Corporate / Commercial Banking or Project Finance in Asia with substantive focus in the E&C sector; • For candidates without prior banking experience, 15 years' business or commercial experience in the E&C sector either in a commercial, treasury management or business development role can be considered • Critical to have good knowledge and experience in originating and structuring financial supply chain management solutions or ecosystem banking solutions for the E&C sector • Understanding of banking products such as Cash Management, Trade and Financial Supply Chain Management, Treasury and Hedging Solutions. • Good grasp and experience in ESG/Green Loans, Sustainability-Linked and Transition Financing and knowledge of ESG developments in the E&C sector. • Good interpersonal and communications skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders. • Experience in dealing with 3rd party financing platforms such as Prime Revenue, Nexus, LiquidX, Bolero, DLT or SAP Ariba etc, will be an advantage Be a part of UOB Family UOB is an equal opportunity employer.
