R&M Technician works at the workshop, troubleshooting, repairing, refurbishing, implementing mandatory modifications and executing and/or planning preventive and corrective maintenance of field equipment and tools. Assist in mitigating assets related non-productive time and improve overall field service delivery performance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and overhaul of mechanical systems used in the oil and gas industry, such as downhole tools, pressurized systems, pumps, Valves, Hydraulic power units and other managed pressure drilling related equipment
- Perform workshop duties, including receiving cleaning, servicing and testing of managed pressure drilling equipment in accordance with company procedures under direction from R & M Supervisor
- Troubleshooting, repairing, refurbishing, implementing mandatory modifications, and executing and/or planning preventive and corrective maintenance of field equipment and tools, helping to mitigate assets related non-productive time and improve overall field service delivery performance
Qualifications:
- Good repair & maintenance experience in a busy workshop.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Good understanding of Hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Knowledge of electrical systems and fault finding.
- Knowledge of pressurized systems and testing.
