Assistant Restaurant & Retail Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to fill the role of Assistant Restaurant & Retail Manager with a focus on Bar Management. This position involves overseeing daily operations in the restaurant and retail areas, as well as actively managing the bar and beverage offerings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality, a passion for creating exceptional beverages, and the ability to drive both retail and restaurant sales.


Responsibilities:

Operational Oversight:

  • Assist in the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, retail, and bar areas.
  • Ensure smooth coordination between restaurant and retail staff, optimizing workflow for a seamless customer experience.

Bar Management:

  • Create and curate a diverse and appealing beverage menu for the bar without using any preservatitives and addititives.
  • Oversee the preparation of cocktails, ensuring high-quality and consistent drink offerings.
  • Train and supervise bar staff, setting and maintaining standards for service and drink preparation.

Purchasing:

  • Ability to find supplier that offer products without preservatives and additives.
  • Ability to negotiate reasonable price for items to sell and for operational purposes.
  • Create a very strong relationship in all the suppliers.

Inventory Management:

  • Manage inventory levels for both restaurant and bar supplies, including food, beverages, and retail products.
  • Implement efficient ordering systems to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to prevent waste and shortages.

Customer Service:

  • Foster a customer-centric environment by ensuring exceptional service in the restaurant, retail, and bar areas.
  • Address customer inquiries, feedback, and concerns promptly and professionally.

Team Leadership:

  • Assist in the recruitment, training, and development of restaurant, retail, and bar staff.
  • Motivate and lead the team to deliver outstanding customer experiences and achieve sales targets.

Sales and Marketing Support:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to implement promotional activities and events.
  • Create visually appealing displays and merchandising for retail products.
  • Implement strategies to boost bar sales through promotions and special events.

Financial Management:

  • Monitor financial performance for restaurant, retail, and bar areas.
  • Analyze reports, identify trends, and implement cost-control measures.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting for the entire operation.

Quality Control:

  • Ensure the quality and consistency of food, beverages, and retail products.
  • Implement and maintain quality control measures to exceed customer expectations.

Administrative Tasks:

  • Assist with administrative duties, including scheduling, payroll processing, and record-keeping.
  • Generate reports and provide insights to support decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in restaurant, retail, and bar management.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of mixology and bar operations.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to travel overseas for work purposes in short notice period.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and basic financial principles.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in restaurant and retail management.
