Job Summary:
The role holder provides network consultancy, design, implementation and support to help customers maximize network availability and functionality to achieve their business goals. Activities will include in-depth analysis, pre-sales activities, design (both for high and lower level network solutions), deployment, support and consultancy.
Responsibilities:
- Assists the Customer during the Think and Build phases & of a project & Subsequent operations phase
- Develops and maintains technical project documentation: high/low level design documentation, method of procedure, test plans, configuration templates and scripts
- To support on aspects of Data Centre and specifically on Cisco WLAN based solutions
- To support on aspects Campus, WAN/LAN Networking, Security from requirements capture/definition through customer.
- To interpret client needs, assess the full requirements, and identify suitable solutions.
- To support on the service delivery and network solution implementation.
- To provide support and troubleshooting service for the network infrastructure related incidents and problems.
- Assists customer with deployment of complex network tools and related Network
- Builds simulated networks in test labs to validate the design and solution
- Provides remote or onsite deployment support.
Required:
- A Bachelors/Diploma holder from a recognised institution
- Related Cisco WLAN Certifications
- Hands-on experience of follwoing Cisco WLAN architectures and solutions is Mandatory
- Proven hands on experience with Cisco’s AirOS 5500 series & 8500 series WLCs, and Cisco’s Wave 2 Aironet Access Points.
- Experience with Cisco’s Wire Lan Controllers (eg. Catalyst 9800 WLCs)
- Proven hands on experience with the Cisco Connected Mobile Experience (CMX) product, and physical appliances MSE3365 or Cisco 3375.
- Proven hands on experience with Cisco’s StarOS based products.
- Cisco Routing and Switching/Networking experience
- Familiarity with Cisco’s Prime Infrastructure product is an advantage.
- Experience with Cisco’s DNA-C (DNA Center) is an advantage
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
- Effective consulting and communication skills
- Experience in building and designing large multi-protocol inter-networks is an added advantage.
- Demonstrated industry awareness.
