Roles and Responsibilities
(a) manage infrastructure needs in relation to organization’s need to implement new and manage existing ICT systems;
(b) facilitate project activities for a smooth rollout and operations of the systems;
(c) oversee the change process for system deployment, operations and managing organization’s other suppliers (including checking that they deliver their deliverables on schedule and informing organization of any delays); and
(d) manage infrastructure development and maintenance issues with users and other suppliers;
(e) manage organization’s user expectations, maintain good rapport with users and understand users’ requirements;
(f) adhere to quality management system (“QMS”) and other audit requirements;
(i) any task that may be required by the authority from time to time, and deemed reasonable and relevant to the job scope/nature and capabilities of the CMS personnel; and (g) provide organization with status updates of infrastructure development or maintenance.
Requirements:
a) degree in computer science/computer engineering or other relevant ICT disciplines;
b) minimum of 5 years working experience in ICT infrastructure services, such as datacentre, disaster recovery, server, storage, network and desktop infrastructure;
c) project management experience in multi-vendor environment; d) strong analytical, conceptualisation and problem solving skills;
e) results-oriented and customer-oriented;
f) good team player with strong organisation and people management skills;
g) good competency in spoken and written English.
Infrastructure PM with the following are preferred
a) technical services delivery and management related certification, such as Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and/or Certification in Outsourcing Management for IT (COMIT), or equivalent;
b) knowledge and relevant experience in implementing and leading small to medium scale ICT infrastructure projects;
c) experience with:
(i) working in the public sector/Government agencies;
(ii) implementing and managing system infrastructure in cloud environment (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP).
