UNSCRIPTED Pte Ltd is a Singapore-based studio that includes architects, interior designers, object and furniture designers. The leadership and core team work across all projects and stages to ensure a high level of quality is achieved from concept design to implementation; we strongly believe in cross-pollination between the different faculties within the studio. With an expanding workload we are now searching for junior/ intermediate architects (resort architectural design) to join our studio.
This is a junior/intermediate level position requiring a minimum 2-5 years post graduation experience and preferably international exposure and/ or experience in a similar design studio working on resort projects of a high and recognizable architectural quality.
Your work portfolio shall demonstrate your own work, input and ability; an alignment with a clean-lines modernist, minimalist design aesthetic of Unscripted would be an advantage.
You shall show an understanding of, and ability in, the design and planning principles of resorts and hotels, planning efficiency and have an appreciation for commercial viability, and have an interest in the essence of the guest experience in the cross-over nature of this design specialism between architectural, hardscape and interior architectural space. You will be expected to collaborate, develop and execute design solutions within a team of professionals under the direction of project director, senior architect and partner overseeing the projects. You shall gain a thorough understanding of the studio's design philosophy and methodology, be able to provide input in developing the design, drawings, sketch-up and presentations.
This position requires;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- AutoCAD proficiency, REVIT/ BIM proficiency an advantage
- SKETCH-UP proficiency and/ or excellent hand-sketching ability
- Photoshop and/or lnDesign proficiency
- MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) proficiency
- An international experience an advantage
Your responsibilities will include;
- Take the design lead from seniors, partners and be able to work independently to develop 3D sketch-up, drawings, photoshop and indesign presentations in all phases of a project under guidance, including, planning, conceptual and schematic design stages
- Attend meetings;
- Assist in managing workflow and deadlines, internal communication
- Able to work effectively within the team to meet overall project needs and objectives
- Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills
- Contribute positively and productively to a creative and conducive studio environment focused on delivering a high-quality design service with professionalism.
