Job Description & Requirements
The Speech Therapist is an integral member of a multi-disciplinary team who manages patients with
communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in order to optimize and achieve maximal
functional outcomes. He/she has to ensure a high standard of clinical practice and professional conduct in all areas of patient care and be able to conduct and participate actively in continual professional development. The Speech Therapist is expected to be able to reflect on and challenge his/her own practice.
As a Basic Grade Therapist, the job scope will require a rotation in clinical duties to varied settings.
Guidance might be needed in complex cases.
Requirements
- Possess a Degree in Speech Therapy
- Being registered with Allied Health Professional Councils
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to speak local dialects, or Malay/ Mandarin/Tamil would be strongly preferred
