Primary Responsibilities:
- Support the HSE Manager in the day-to-day functions related to Marine/HSE operations.
- Monitor PSC inspections and deficiencies and correspond with relevant parties to ensure adherence to international regulations and operational standards.
- Consolidate deficiencies identified in PSC/FSI/Right Ship inspections for the company’s fleet under management.
- Assist in the efficient and safe daily operation of fleet vessels, focusing on cost-effectiveness.
- Assist in maintaining documentation and establishing comprehensive files for future reference in special cases.
- Aid in the accurate accounting of expenses and monitoring of the operating budget concerning HSE.
- Register, monitor, and ensure the implementation of all corrective and preventive actions.
- Assume overall responsibility for HSSEQ matters onboard.
- Develop, implement, and sustain the Safety Management System (SMS) of the company.
- Collaborate with Master/Manning agencies to provide crew briefings on HSSEQ policies, documentation, and procedures.
- Supervise and manage the ship’s compliance with regulatory requirements and legislation, including IMO, Flag State, and Port State rules and regulations.
- Support the Crewing Department in its daily operations as a backup.
- Fulfil other assigned tasks as required.
Requirements:
- Possesses a university degree.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Word.
- Demonstrates effective communication skills, strong analytical ability, and a consistent dedication to quality.
- Previous experience in an HSE role would be beneficial.
