Our Client:
Out Client is a Taiwanese enterprise specializing in the production of consumer electronics, ranging from LEDs, semiconductors, monitors, motherboards, to optical disc drives and various electronic components. They are looking for a R&D Power Systems Engineer to join their team in Singapore.
The Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and develop algorithms for managing power and energy within microgrids
- Implement power and energy management applications on microgrid controllers
- Create platforms for AI/ML/DL solutions tailored to diverse energy management needs
- Design Single Line Diagrams (SLD), determine sizes, and integrate Distributed Energy Resources (DERs), protection systems, and loads within microgrids
- Generate test cases and execute functional and error tests on microgrids, both in Simulation-In-the-Loop (SIL) environments and on physical testbeds
- Simulate microgrids using software tools like Power Factory, Matlab, or Panda Power, and interface them with microgrid controllers for initial SIL testing
The Requirements:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in Power Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years of experience
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Matlab, or equivalents
- Familiarity with microgrid operational principles including on-grid optimization, off-grid optimization, islanding, resynching, and blackstart operations
- Experience with AI, ML, DL applications in energy management, predictive analysis, forecasting, and anomaly detection is advantageous
