Job Description:

  • Achieving sales targets through promoting the Company’s Forwarding Business and acquisition of new potential customers to increase customer’s portfolio.
  • Seek new customers. Building pipelines, segmentation, and accurate forecasting in line with Company’s services and strategy.
  • Identifying New/ Existing business opportunities in Forwarding & 3PL, establish and build pipelines, segmentation & Key Account customers, develop new businesses and strengthen business relationship.
  • New Business Development (Hunter 80%) and Current Account Sales Management (20%). Delivering volume and revenue targets for the Freight Forwarder sales channels while remaining focused on relationship building with customers for fostering profitable sales.
  • Assess customer’s needs, matching these with Company’s services and provide solution to customer to acquire new business.
  • Acting as main contact to communicate with customers, as well as liaising with both operation teams and overseas offices and ensuring that enquiries/ problems/ Issues are being appropriately dealt with professionalism.
  • Working with overseas agents, sharing customer & market Information.
  • Assist superiors to prepare monthly pipelines updates, target customers, achievement & review business operations & plans.
  • Generate sales leads and opportunities.
  • Participate in developing sales strategy and activities.
  • Prepare weekly/ monthly/ update reports on pipelines, sales targets, budgeting achievement and review of new opportunities and business plan.
  • Achieving and monitoring of customer’s KPIs & initiatives to ensure delivery of quality, reliable and scalable productivity to meet customer’s satisfactions.
  • Delivering volume and revenue targets for the Forwarding sales channels while remaining
  • focused on relationship building with customers as well as fostering profitable sales.
  • To guide junior/ new Sales staff and provide on-the-job training and job shadowing to enable them to be successful in their roles.
  • Carry out any ad-hoc tasks/ projects as and when assigned by the Company.


Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 to 7 years customer-facing sales experience in freight forwarding.
  • Solid experience in customer acquisition and account management in freight forwarding industry.
  • Must possess strong selling, presentation, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent personal presentation and strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Self-motivated and driven to plan and execute sales generation.
  • Excellent organization skills with ability to take initiative and prioritize work, while paying attention to detail.
  • Able to work under pressure and solve problems independently.
