Job Objectives
To analyse, design, plan, co-ordinate, create infrastructure required to run the application environments, install & deploy the application software and provide BAU support that includes middleware/Database infrastructure build, deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, resolution of all environment related incidents to the application development team.
Key Responsibilities
Candidates are expected to: -
a) Co-ordinate with core infrastructure team to ensure readiness of servers / databases, prepare requirement documents
b) Drive the low-level design for application middleware/DB/MQ infrastructure for Tier 1/Tier 0 applications
c) Perform middleware software installation and documentation, also DB upgrade/migrations before
d) Performance tuning, strong knowledge on SQL query troubleshooting and MQ issues (more preference if we have such experience)
e) Added advantage if know Java, Micro services, API basics with Jboss integration
f) Manage the Dev/SIT/UAT/Production environment setup and connectivity with partner applications
g) Troubleshoot server, Database and network related problems
h) Prepare and simulate disaster recovery for the managed applications
i) Automate monitoring / enable alert configurations
j) Ensure proper documentation of processes & maintain KOP
Key Requirements
The candidate must have 10 - 12 Years of working experience in the following areas:-
a) Technical hands on experience in building application middleware platforms
b) Working experience in application integration platform (Database, MQ, Connect Direct)
c) Well versed in working on Unix/Linux OS
d) Experience on analysing AWR report and tracing for application issues
e) Messaging platform expertise to build and support MQ and Connect Direct
f) Familiar with system and database backup/restore, disaster recovery procedures and Load balancers
g) Experience in vendor product software installation and documentation of installation steps
h) Able to document the technical architecture using servers and network diagrams
Candidate with the following knowledge will be preferred: -
a) Understanding of Unix/Linux administration tasks
b) Excellent knowledge of Oracle Database and tuning experience
c) Must have knowledge on DB upgrade/migrations methods
d) Excellent platform knowledge (Database, Jboss, MQ & CD)
e) Excellent communication and influencing skills
f) Working experience in DevOps Tools (Jenkins, Bitbucket)
Priority 1: Middleware: JBOSS, WebLogic, WebSphere, Apache, tomcat Iplanet administration
· Good experience on Infra provisioning, Build and middleware upgrade
· Good experience on DB/MQ migrations and upgrades, at least knowledge on Basic administration activities, not expecting core DBA
· Performance tuning, strong knowledge on troubleshooting (more preference if we have such experience)
· added advantage if know Java basics for understanding the application errors.

· DevOps Tooling: Jenkins, Bitbucket
· Scripting / Coding: Shell, SQL Scripting, PYTHON, Groovy
· Understanding of kubernetes vs docker
