Job Objectives
- Provide analysis for complex offers for contracts to address customer requirements, by meeting profitability guidelines with a manageable risk exposure
- Generate commercial proposals to customers by understanding customers’ key requirements and criteria in bid process
- Support & enable the Commercial team to take data-driven decisions in order to improve competitiveness and customer satisfaction
- Contribute to become the Centre of Excellence for all required commercial analytical requirements and drive further development & automation of the same
Job Responsibilities
- Generate proposals to customers by understanding customers’ key requirements and criteria in bid process
- Understand and quantify the commercial consequences of meeting customer requirements (e.g., multi-year pricing, volume discounts and customised logistics)
- Develop business cases, and present scenarios to the Approval Committee, recommend preferred scenarios and determine negotiation strategy (incl. bands)
- Use business data and statistical methods to provide insight into business performance and suggest area and methods of improvements
- Support the development and production of standardised reports / dashboards and presentations
- Support all required commercial analytical requirements and drive further development & automation of the same (i.e. centre of excellence)
- Conduct win-loss analysis to continuously sharpen Satair’s value proposition in the market
- Drive improvements and contribute to an efficient and customer-focused Commercial Analytics Team
Secondary Responsibilities
- Maintain dialogue and work closely with other functions including Commercial & Support, Product Management and Operations teams to understand developments and trends in the market
- Support the formation of a data-driven organization in the Satair Commercial team
Job Requirements
- University degree in Business / Finance / Engineering preferred
- Minimum 5 years' working experience in a Business Analyst role or similar
- Strong numeracy skills
- Ability to operate, extract and analyse data from business tools, such as but not limited to CRM and Business Intelligence software (or ability to learn and utilise it quickly)
- Some basic knowledge of VBA, Python and other programming language / coding preferred
- Strong analytical skills; ability to see the bigger picture and derive mid to long term recommendations on way forward
- Good business acumen & customer-minded
- Must work effectively with others in a team environment as well as work independently with little supervision, depending on the task at hand
- High level of communication skills and effective interpersonal skills appropriate for interacting with customers and stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, RFPs, and when submitting reports
- High level of energy and persistence and "can do" attitude
