Responsibilities:
- Reports to the Section Manager for the proper management of the 3D model relevant to be controlled at Digital Engineering, with the modeling work being carried out in all local / oversea satellite offices.
- Responsible for setting up of Hexagon Smart3D Enterprise / Aveva Marine (AM) / E3D system for projects in line with company and project procedures within the stipulated time while starting up the project, managing the Smart3D / AM / E3D / system of various projects and continuous technical support.
- Responsible for development and implementation of project specific Catalogues and Specifications for Piping & Pipe Supports, Mechanical / Equipment, HVAC, Hull Structural, Electrical and Instrumentation disciplines in Smart3D / AM / E3D and setting up of project specific drawing templates in the drafting module of Smart3D / AM / E3D.
- Monitors the integrity of the 3D model global workshare database and its activities is well maintained and regular transfer of information from 3D model to other IT systems is functioning properly as expected.
- Develops project specific modelling procedure and set up the 3D model accordingly. Conduct regular trainings to multi-discipline end users of the 3D modelling required based on the client specifications and company standards.
- Works closely with the discipline leads of the projects to understand their requirements and address their demand for on time Development or Customization required to automate tasks, Drawing Templates, Macros, Isometrics, and Interface to other system.
- Troubleshoots to resolve the issues on time and if required escalate issues and work with the Software vendor’s technical support for Smart3D / AM / E3D in other locations for quick resolution.
- Be familiar with the work flows of all the IT systems implemented in the project. Proactive in providing input to IT Personnel and highlight in advance if there are any technical challenges.
- Coordinates actively with other oversea offices, for the projects executed from multiple locations, attend meetings and communicate effectively. Flexible and ready to assume additional roles like Digital coordinator, Digital Engineer in a project.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or Structural Engineering or related engineering disciplines, Diploma holders with relevant experience are welcomed to apply
- Entry Level candidates are welcome to apply (On Job Training will be provided)
- Candidates with relevant experience in Shipbuilding, Oil & Gas projects especially in Marine & Offshore projects such as Drill ships, FPSO, FLNG, Fixed Platforms, Wind Farms in the capacity of Digital Engineering with similar job scope described above may be considered for a senior role
- Must be a self-starter and be able to work with minimal supervision, make sound decisions, take independent action, analyse problems and provide focused solutions to assigned projects.
- Shall possess strong inter-personal and communication skills and be able to work well with people at all levels in the organization.
- Good oral and written communication skills
