Position Summary

The Senior QA Engineer (SQE) is responsible for ensuring a reliable supply of components for the assembly line, examining engineering and manufacturing specifications, overseeing materials for potential defects, and addressing any quality concerns.


To excel in this position, the Senior QA Engineer (SQE) should possess exceptional analytical and technical abilities, coupled with a keen eye for detail. He/she must have effective communication and problem-solving skills, along with a proficiency in supply quality control practices.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review manufacturing specifications to identify materials needed for production.
  • Visit vendor facilities to audit the manufacturing environment to review and assess their procedures.
  • Perform regular quality control audits to ensure vendors compliance with company standards.
  • Review incoming supplies and products from vendors to check for defects and ensure quality.
  • Conduct tests and assessments on products to identify quality issues.
  • Maintain detailed reports on supplier quality, including defect rates and areas that result in flaws.
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to suppliers to manage or reduce defect rates.
  • Serving as a liaison between production and the vendors to identify quality issues and provide solutions.
  • Monitor incoming quality trends using SPC.
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.


Requirement

  • Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science Engineering or any other engineering discipline.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in OSAT semiconductor environment, specialising in securing vendor contracts.
  • Good SPC statistical analysis and quality assurance skills.
  • Good working knowledge of incoming quality control standards and government compliance.
  • Experience with manufacturing and production processes, and engineering principles.
  • Ability to provide guidance on materials to improve process efficiency.
  • Excellent communication and liaison skills.
  • Certification in 5 core tools is a plus.
