- Possess a recognized degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with at least five years of relevant experience in building projects.
- Provide technical and engineering support to the Project Team.
- Assist the Project Manager/ M&E Manager in the effective planning, reviewing, monitoring and controlling progress and process of M&E works. He/she must be able to control and manage the M&E subcontractor’s progress and performance on site.
- Good knowledge of applicable codes/regulations and Authorities’ requirements relating to M&E services, building construction and safety.
- Coordination and production of individual and combined M&E drawings (CSD).
- Appraisal for works/ products compliance to specifications/ requirements and selection recommendations.
- Control the progress of RFA, RFI, shop drawings, technical submissions and equipment/material procurement/fabrication/delivery status.
- Develop work programmes and details for testing & commissioning factory tests, individual system test, integrated system test and statutory inspections.
- Able to plan, lead, delegate jobs, instruct, and monitor progress and performance of subordinates and M&E subcontractors’ site staff to achieve quality works, and smooth and timely completion of projects.
- Carry out M&E technical and site meetings and resolve technical issues with project consultants and subcontractors, including taking notes of meetings.
- Provide the project team with safe and economical methodology, and ensure projects meet the required quality standards.
- Conduct QA/QC inspections, manage RE, RTO and ensure clearing QA/QC inspections to meet the required quality standards and within the construction schedules.
- Provide, update and maintain all site inspection, testing and commissioning records.
- Assessment and cost verification of variation orders and make necessary recommendation of VOs.
- Check, evaluate and confirm work done and material supply status by M&E sub-contractor/NSC vendors for progress payments.
- Submission of as-built drawings and O&M manuals.
- Collaborate and liaise closely with Developers, Project Managers, Architects, Engineers, Subcontractors, relevant authorities and project teams to resolve technical and compliance issues in order to achieve a smooth and on-time completion of the projects.
