As a playgroup teacher, you will:
- Design and implement a play-inspired and inquiry driven education playgroup programme that uses a variety of engaging activities and instructional age-appropriate methods (songs, stories, media, structured games, art, outdoor activities etc), that is fostered by the children’s interests and needs, to motivate and stimulate children’s abilities.
- Assess the effectiveness of the lesson plans on a regular basis through discussions and feedback sessions with the team.
- Organise learning materials and resources.
- Assess student performance and progress
- Encourage social interactions between children and improve their self-esteem.
- Instil a sense of order and peace in the playroom and in the outside environment.
- Provide a stimulating and engaging outdoor space that allows the children to explore and develop in their natural curiosity and allows them to be challenged in their gross motor skills.
- Establish healthy and positive relationships with parents.
- Write reports for parents on each child's developmental progress, where required.
Working hours:
Mon - Fri, 8am - 5.30pm
Requirements:
- Preferably a Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) or Diploma in ECCE
- At least 2 years of teaching experience in early childhood
- Fluent in spoken and written English (to teach in English language and communicate with children and parents)
- Loves outdoor and nature play
- Willing to learn and take guidance from senior staff
- Able to work well independently as well as within a team
This is an onsite, full time position.
