Job Summary:
As a UFIT Staff Nurse, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality foot care services to patients in a private healthcare setting. Working closely with the podiatrists and other UFIT healthcare professionals, you will be responsible for assessing, treating, and educating patients on various podiatric conditions. Your compassionate care and attention to detail will contribute to the overall well-being of patients seeking specialized foot care services.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Assessment:
● Conduct thorough assessments of patients' foot conditions, including
medical history, symptoms, and physical examinations.
● Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and evaluate
podiatric issues.
Treatment and Procedures:
● Administer appropriate treatments under supervision of the
podiatrist for various foot conditions, such as wound care, nail care,
and biomechanical assessments.
● Assist in minor surgical procedures performed by the podiatrist.
● Provide patient education on self-care and preventive measures.
Documentation:
● Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including assessment
findings, treatment plans, and progress notes.
● Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards in
documentation practices.
Collaboration:
● Work collaboratively with podiatrists, physicians, and other UFIT
Circle of Care professionals to support comprehensive care plans
where appropriate.
Equipment and Supplies:
● Manage and maintain podiatry equipment and supplies, ensuring
they are in good working order.
● Order and restock necessary supplies in consultation with the
healthcare facility's policies.
● Anaesthetic & medicine inventory management
Infection Control:
● Adhere to strict infection control protocols to prevent the spread of
infections in the podiatric care setting.
● Educate patients on proper foot hygiene and care practices.
Continuing Education:
● Stay informed about the latest developments and advancements in
podiatric nursing through continuous education and training.
Administration:
● Register patients
● Manage the front desk and handle patient's enquiries
● Handle phone enquiries
● Billing
● Administrative Duties
● Insurance claim submissions
Qualifications:
● Fully registered with Singapore Nursing Board
● AED and CPR qualified
● Previous experience in podiatry nursing or a related field is
advantageous.
● Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
● Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
● Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare
team.
Remuneration Structure:
$3,000-$4,000 Monthly
Working Conditions:
● Location: CBD ( Club St)
● Working Hours: 5.5 Days (Mon- Fri 8.30am-5.30pm; Sat 8.30am-1pm)
Reports to : Head of Podiatry
