RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support OOC (Office of Overseas Centres) in the development and execution of strategic plans for market entry and expansion into new overseas locations.
- Co-ordinate and communicate with internal teams, including business units, marketing, and operations, to ensure alignment of objectives, timelines and OC launch action plans.
- Update strategic market intel by conducting market research to identify potential partners and stakeholders, and analyse market trends and competition.
- Help manage relationships with overseas partners and stakeholders, and act as a liaison between SMU and local entities with cognate stakeholders.
- Co-ordinate business and programme development with Professional Continuing Education and PGPP units, including tracking and monitoring of new opportunities, and to build overseas centres revenue pipeline.
- Develop and implement marketing and communication strategies for the Office of Overseas Centres, including but not limited to supporting PR, advertising, social media and corporate communications.
- Manage strategic projects such as the Overseas Chambers of Singapore in the region.
- Support other daily operational activities under the Office of Overseas Centres.
- Bachelors Degree.
- Familiar with local business environment and culture in target locations in the region, updating intel pertinent to legal and regulatory requirements, market trends, and competition.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in regional business development in the higher education/training sector.
- Proven ability to develop and execute successful market entry and expansion strategies, with a focus on risk management and prudent budgeting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with local partners and stakeholders.
- Strong track record of project management experience, with the ability to manage budgets, timelines, and resources to achieve objectives.
