Purpose of Job
To be responsible for supervising and coordinating on the day-to-day operations of the Banquet and Events.
Key Responsibility Areas
· Assist the F&B Manager in the day-to-day operations of all the function/seminar rooms and ballroom.
· Ensure the services of the Banquet Team are upheld to the required service standards.
· Check Meeting/Function Rooms daily before the opening hours to ensure that they are ready for business.
· Work closely with Kitchen and Stewarding teams to ensure all activities of Banquet are well coordinated and carried out according to the event orders.
· Train and educate all the F&B Captains and Waiter/Waitress to ensure they are competent in carrying out their duties.
· Attend to all VIP guests patronizing events and functions.
· Report to the F&B Manager of any operational problems and recommends solutions to the problems.
· Ensure all outlets have sufficient manpower to cope with the day-to-day operations.
· Maintain a good relationship with the guests and motivate subordinates to serve with quality service.
· Ensure that the Service Staff are well-versed with the fire protection procedures.
· Cover the Banquet Supervisor in his/her absence.
· Carry out special projects or to perform additional duties in other related areas which may be assigned from time to time.
Job Requirements
· Minimum GCE ‘O’ Level.
· Minimum 2 years of relevant supervisory experience.
· Good working knowledge of POS system.
· Shift works including weekends and public holidays.
