Accounts Executive/Assistant Accountant (Accounts Payable)
Our client is an established household brand in the food industry in Singapore. As a result of business growth, they are now seeking a high calibre Accounts Executive/Assistant Accountant (AP) to join them.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Process and review invoices, credit memos, and expense reports for accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of supplier payments within payment terms.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies related to invoices, payments, and account balances.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any outstanding issues or discrepancies.
- Assist with month-end close activities, including accruals and prepaid expenses.
- Analyse AP aging to identify and resolve any overdue invoices or payment delays.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all accounts payable transactions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and drive continuous improvement.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures and ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent professional Accounting qualifications.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in accounts payable or related role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to resolve customer payment issues.
