As the Technical Product Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation to execution. Your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Business Storytelling & Research: Develop compelling narratives, create executive presentations and conduct in-depth market research to define the product’s value proposition and market positioning.
2. Needs Assessment: Establish a structured framework for conducting needs assessments, identifying pain points and collecting feedback from clients and stakeholders.
3. Business Use Cases: Define and document business use cases, ensuring alignment with client needs and product capabilities.
4. Product Strategy & Roadmap: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define the product strategy and create a comprehensive, well-prioritised product roadmap.
5. Vendor Evaluation: Evaluate vendor proposals, ensuring a deep understanding of technical details and how they align with business objectives. Provide a clear framework in the evaluation, scoring and selection process through compelling business writing.
6. Technical Requirements: Generate comprehensive technical requirements to guide the development of the platform’s design and implementation. Facilitate technical discussions and provide essential guidance to bridge business needs with technical solutions.
7. Product Development: Translate business requirements into technical specifications and communicate effectively with technical teams.
8. Commercial Model Development: Define the commercial model for the platform, considering pricing, monetization and revenue strategies.
9. Cross-Functional Program Management: Lead and coordinate a program that involves various stakeholders, from securing budget to defining RACI and resource required.
10. Leadership Engagement: Engage with sponsors and stakeholders to help shape their vision and provide guidance in aligning business goals with the product.
Qualifications:
1. 5-8 years of experience in program management, product management, or similar roles within the financial services industry. High preference will be given to candidates with Securities Services, Capital Markets background.
2. Technical acumen with the ability to understand complex technical concepts, API specifications and nuances that come with a SaaS platform, and to engage in technical discussions.
3. Exceptional business writing, storytelling and research skills.
4. Strong project management skills with the ability to drive projects forward in an ambiguous environment.
5. Experience in needs assessment, user research and market analysis.
6. Proficiency in evaluating vendor proposals and conducting vendor assessment
