Responsibilities
• Assist the Head of Technology in developing and executing the technology vision, strategy, and roadmap for the company, aligned with the business goals
• Explore emerging technologies such as AI, Generative AI, IoT, cloud, and 5G that are aligned with the specific needs of the various business units within URS.
• Develop and implement R&D strategies to ensure that all R&D projects are well aligned with market/customer needs.
• Manage R&D projects including monitoring and reporting for both internal and external grants to ensure timely submission of progress reports and disbursement of funds.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, such as business units, vendors, and authorities, to understand their needs, expectations, and feedback.
• Represent URS BA and act as a liaison between the URS and the GTO community, ensuring that strategic objectives, technological initiatives, and priorities are effectively communicated, coordinated, and executed.
• Prepare product and technology reports and presentations required by the GTO community.
• Facilitate discussions between URS with other BAs relating to R&D collaboration projects. Ensure alignment among stakeholders, leveraging effective communication channels and consensus-building techniques to drive optimize outcomes for the projects.
• Ensure URS LOBs are kept informed of Group events related to product and technology. Facilitate participation and provide necessary guidance and recommendation (eg. Innochamp, InVent)
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
• Proven experience in technology coordination, project management, or similar roles within the technology sector, preferably in satellite communication or related fields.
• Strong understanding of satellite communication technology, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans and initiatives.
