RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement and maintain Linux-based and Window-based systems.
- Setup, configure and manage Linux/Windows OSes on lab PCs.
- Setup, configure and manage Hyper-V and Windows-based servers.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Perform maintenance tasks such as system backups, updates, and patches to ensure secure and efficient network operations.
- Manage user access permissions to SSH, NFS shares, Apache, Nginx, Samba.
- Manage user access permissions to RDP, file shares and IIS.
- Manage AD account and group policies management.
- Monitor and analyse server performance tuning and status monitoring, security, maintenance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal system performance and availability.
- Create, migrate, clone, snapshot, backup, recovery and troubleshooting of Hyper-V hosted VMs.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Linux and Windows system administration.
- MCSE or MCSA certification preferred.
- RHCE or RHCSA or ComTIA Linux+ certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge in Bash, Python and Ansible.
- Strong knowledge in Linux operating systems, including CentOS, Rocky Linux, and Ubuntu OSes.
- Strong knowledge in Apache and foreman.
- Understanding of network and storage technologies, including DNS/DHCP.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
